Viscom/Art

In Viscom, the year 7’s are currently doing Print making!

We first started with Foam block prints! Here are the steps to make a successful Foam block print!

Step 1: Find a foam block and draw a design on it with a blunt pencil

Step 2: Choose the colour that you want print first ( the first print colour that we did was a light colour and worked our way up to darker colours)!

Step 3: Roll your chosen colour onto your foam block and print it on a blank piece of white paper

Step 4: Wait for the print to dry and choose the next colour (choose a colour like red or orange or something darker than your first print)!

Step 5: Do the same thing as step 3 except print your next colour on top of the first print

Step 6: Do the same thing as step 3 and 4 and choose a colour like blue

Step 7: Once the art work is dry you can hang it up or mount it on some black paper!

Now your work should look something like this:

I’m really pleased that I came to Hawkesdale p-12 College because there are so many opportunities that you can take like camps, cross country, triathlon and heaps more.

The teachers are really friendly and it is not hard to get lost in the school grounds. All classes are really enjoyable and the teachers help you when you need help.

The students are really friendly and quiet easy to get along with.

Every year the SRC organise fundraisers like disco’s, BBQs, casual days and even things like dress up as your hero day!!

I’ve been to Hawkesdale since prep and I’ve really enjoyed all the students and subjects!!

I think that Hawkesdale p-12 College is the best school to go to in the whole state!!!!!

My school is the best place for me to make friends and to learn new things. All the teachers are friendly and help you if you need it.

The SRC is really supportive and encourages other kids to have a go at new things.

All the students make other people feel welcome and get along with each other.
